Oliver “Oli” Anken

Tandem pilot with a big heart and a ukulele

Oli has been paragliding since 2015 and flying tandem since 2021. Anyone who flies with him soon notices how warmly and wholeheartedly he shares his passion for paragliding.

His favourite place to fly is Mount Pilatus, an area he knows exceptionally well. When he is not flying with passengers, he enjoys hike-and-fly trips to Swiss Alpine Club huts: hiking up and flying back down into the valley.

A serenade in the sky

For Oli, a tandem flight is a success when his passenger lands feeling completely happy. The feedback from his guests shows that this happens often: “Your enthusiasm was contagious!”

That describes Oli perfectly. He is cheerful, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile for his passengers. On birthday flights, he sometimes even brings his ukulele and performs a special serenade during the flight. It is a classic Oli moment: warm, unexpected and impossible to forget.

Full of energy on the ground too

In his free time, Oli enjoys cycling, travelling in his camper van and playing the guitar. His open and engaging personality, along with his talent for inspiring others, will soon serve him well in the classroom as he trains to become a primary school teacher.
