Tandem pilot with a lifelong passion for flying

Max discovered his love of flying at the age of 14, while on holiday at a sand dune. His father handed him a paraglider, and Max was hooked from the very first moment.

That is why seeing the genuine excitement of first-time flyers is still the best part of tandem flying for him. It takes him straight back to the thrill of discovering flight for himself. Since 2024, Max has been sharing that experience with his passengers, taking them high above the clouds to a place where everything feels quieter and slower, everyday life fades into the distance and nature seems closer than ever.

A spirit of adventure and a sense of perspective

Max loves exploring new flying areas. A hill close to home can fascinate him just as much as a remote mountain somewhere abroad that he has never flown before.

One experience in particular has stayed with him: flying above 4,000 metres for the first time. With views stretching more than 100 kilometres in every direction, he was struck by the sheer scale of the mountains – and by how small we are in comparison.

Sharing the passion for flying

For Max, the perfect tandem flight is one where his passenger soon forgets their initial nerves, feels completely at ease and starts enjoying the search for the next thermal with him.

And when someone lands full of adrenaline and says, “That was one of the best things I’ve ever done!”, Max knows he has passed on his passion for flying once again.

When everyday life occasionally brings him back down to earth, Max can usually be found at university – especially when exams are approaching.
